Ingredients

  • Red wine: 1 bottle
  • Whole cardamom: 20
  • Cloves: 12
  • Cinnamon: 4 stick
  • Ginger: 1 tbsp
    grated
  • Star anise: 2
  • Sugar: 400 g
  • Rum (opt): 200 ml
  • Water (opt): 100-200 ml
  • Raisins (opt)
  • Almonds (opt)
  • Orange slices (opt)

Method

1.

Mix red wine, whole cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, sugar. Heat it until it steams but doesn't boil.

  • ginger: 1 tbsp
  • star anise: 2
  • sugar: 400 g

Let it cook on low heat for . Strain and add rum and/or water.

  • rum (opt): 2 dl
  • water (opt): 1-2 dl

Serve and garnish with raisins, almonds and orange slices.
